Joey is not bad but i dont think she's that popular in sg... And her more well known songs like xi guan ni, piao bai de xin and hui zhe chi bang de nv hai didnt do well at all. so why now all her soso songs are doing so well?

I'm quite sure Rainie will give Jolin a run for her #1... And fish really loves major plunges, from #1 that is...

say, I am wondering when will 933 chart incorporate the i-tunes chart into it. then the chart positions will be credible. i seriously like the British and US charts as they incorporate i-tunes chart into it. if Singapore can do it, we will be way ahead of many Asian countries to have a credible single chart

what u all take on that?

btw, i think Yoga will also do bungee jump on this week chart.

haha it wont be credible because not many people listen to mandarin pop through iTunes..
i hope yoga dont plunge greatly today =X. this song deserves alot more points.

based on what kunhua and jiahui said, its almost certain that yoga takes a huge plunge.

not possible for two commercial entities to combine their charts together without financial benefits... how does one define relevance in singapore where majority listens to kpop and english songs? also note that currently itunes in singapore is still too young to be relevant

anyway, khalil is definitely making a mark for himself, churning out hits after hits without even releasing an actual album... time for others to follow this example... one good way of ensuring that the standard of mandarin pop will not be compromised

it does actually, if not why UK and US are doing that. firstly, the radio station will gain credibility becos eventually sms chart will be subjected to questions. Apple will also make much more avenue leveraging on 933 to sell their songs. with a combined chart, the record company can also encourage legal purchase because that will count towards the chart.

but then, there are of course factors against it. most record companies would rather cosumers buy ALBUMs so they can fleece us again and again. but then, thru clever marketing (like Khalil releasing one single after another without the album), they can sell both single and album at the same time and double their sales, if they are not so shortsighted. not to mention ringtones, spotify.com way of 'leasing' a song for lstening. how much profit that they can make is anybody guess.

btw, are you sure k-pops are outselling mandopops?

has more budget in publicity
2. which group of artistes has a better sales performance in terms of downloads and concert tickets?

This song is bad for the ears.

For those who are not familiar, dubstep like R & B, gone mainstream just recently. It used a lot of bass and vocoder to alter the voice of the singer.

Show Luo was one of the first artiste that grafted it into his 有我在 in mandopop.

Here is a popular dubstep song. Notice it is very bass and drum heavy.

and if it's too tough to find out the above mentioned, go to hmv marina square newly opened last year and count the number of shelves of cds for each group of artistes
