i find such polling results funny. with jolin and rainie getting no votes for best female singer in 2012.
let me explain.
nominees are those who garnered the most number of pts in our forum combined charts.
these 5 have songs gaining the most pts for them, meaning forum ppl love these songs to keep voting for them.
but why have these songs on your chart when u dun even think that the singers are doing a good job?
is it purely that ur chart reflects which song is the most frequently played on a certain station? instead of what u truly like or think that the song deserves recognition?
maybe not for the sake of being different just to be different, but looking at charts which simply resemble the radio pop charts is just kinda wierd. so u are just showing that ur taste is the same as the mass market taste (as reflected in the pop charts?)
would anybody really think that jolin and rainie are the best singers, producing the best songs over the past year that they deserve so many points?
just a random grumble.

"best" mah. we can't choose more than 1 anyway... we might think lala/fish are better singers, but still let jolin/rainie enter our charts. just that they possibly dont do as well (as evidenced by the points difference). in fact, i think even when jolin/rainie are replaced with other singers on the list (under the top 5 like elva, della etc), the poll result will still be around the same.
and i think most of us 针对 songs instead of singers. like jolin, we may think that her vocals weak but with decent songs she can still win us over in our charts. just saying
